Before 2018 started, I set my goals for this new year being one for the record books. Jan 1, 2018 was going to be the first day of an exciting new year filled with new goals, big plans and exciting new adventures, and boy was I right on the mark! New Years morning came with one of the biggest & best surprises ever .... 2 pink lines!!
We are having a baby!! YAY!!!
I rushed into the bedroom to surprise my husband as I was still gathering my thoughts realizing how much our lives were about to change. We sat on the bed, just staring at each other, smiling, crying, excited, shocked; every emotion in the book, we felt it. It was a bitter sweet moment for us.
My wedding season was finished the end of September 2017 and I was looking forward to a relaxing fall. As we finished some of the last important building stages of our home, which consumed every free minute we had, there was an emotional roller coaster just ahead; We lost a piece of our hearts. We lost a pregnancy and it left a deep scar; The next few months were tough. I have the most amazing husband who was my rock, held me up and weathered the storm, did everything to comfort me and made sure I didn't lose sight of the bigger picture; We will be blessed again someday. True love really does move mountains. We set our minds that things will happen when they are meant to and we would be blessed with a rainbow baby when the time was right. He/she would surprise us and help fill the void we felt from our first little angel who was too perfect for this world.
This is my 19th week of pregnancy and this little bundle, who has figured out how to kick (and hard!) is a little girl! Daddy is excited to have a little pigtail mechanic in training and I'm rooting to have a 2nd shooter on the way. We are so very excited to meet her, watch her grow, explore, learn and develop into a beautiful person. This year is filled with a lot of changes aside from our little one that's coming in September. I am working hard to get my studio finished which brings my level of excitement for this year to an all time high! Also, we will be moving into our house in the next few month; still have to install the trim and the kitchen, but I only need a stove and dishwasher to survive right now haha
Lots of love,
